restore the shine and gloss of your vehicle

PAINT CORRECTION & RESTORATION

Goodbye swirls, scratches and holograms

Paint correction is not limited to used vehicles with visible damage. We frequently perform paint correction on brand new cars. Many modern vehicles sustain paint damage during transport to the dealership or simply while sitting on the lot.

At Mr Clean Adelaide, our extensive experience spans various automotive paint finishes. Our technicians are adept at handling the complexities and nuances of each finish. We aim to restore your vehicle’s finish to like-new condition without compromise.

Our service involves a single or multi-stage polishing process to remove paint swirls, surface scratches, and oxidation, making your vehicle’s finish look as flawless as possible. Once the paint has been corrected, most customers ask us to apply one of our exclusive paint protection film (PPF) or ceramic coating packages.

PAINT CORRECTION PROCESS

Paint correction is the process of eliminating imperfections from a vehicle’s paintwork using machine polishers and a variety of polish products. A fully corrected vehicle, when viewed in direct sunlight, will reflect accurately.

We meticulously clean the vehicle from top to bottom using pH-neutral soap, foam cannons, and a pressure washer. This step serves a dual purpose: removing everyday dirt and grease while revealing the vehicle’s current condition.

Using inspection lights, we assess the vehicle’s paint. This critical step helps us determine the best approach to eliminate paint defects without causing further damage.

Machine polishing involves the physical removal, or “cutting,” of paint defects. Depending on the level of service, this process can take between 4 to 9 hours per vehicle.

After most paint defects are removed in step 4, a haze typically remains. Using an ultra-fine polish, we jewel the paint to achieve the ultimate gloss.

After completing the previous steps, we apply a multi-year ceramic coating, sealant, or paint protection film. This final step preserves the showroom shine.
